Keira Andersen was born in Pontarlier, France, to Mateus and Laurel in October 1986. They have two other children, Katheryn and Robert, both of which are her older and younger siblings respectively, making Keira the middle child of the family. Despite this, she was always the favorite or favored child within the family. She had always been the one that had the good grades and went all out to be the best that she could be. Their oldest daughter, Katheryn, was the polar opposite with a meaner streak of someone that wanted to do anything and everything she could to be the one that everyone wanted to be, though it alway failed and had always fallen short, leaving Keira to be the golden child within their family.
All throughout her life, Keira had been seen as the good girl and she was exactly that. She was always good and caring, always wanted to help out with chores and do the things that no other child really and truly wanted to do. It was like they had found a miracle child. Her older sister never wanted to do anything like that, and thus became the child that wasn't ideal - she wasn't the one that everybody hoped would become even more. Instead, it had ended up being Keira. She excelled in her school work, was good with other children, played nicely and never bit anyone. She was always happy, joyous but a little bit naive and incredibly insecure. She was a smart child, something that transitioned perfectly as she grew up, and continues to flourish throughout her during her life.
When she was 21 years old, Keira was married to a man that she'd fallen in love with years before, Pierre Chevalier. He was not exactly the person that her parents wanted her to marry, but he had so easily become the love of her life to the point where she could no longer see herself as a single, but could only see herself with him. She was 19 when she became engaged to a man 15 years her senior (34), the couple married two years later in Paris, France, on the 12th of May, 2007, and Keira Andersen became Keira Chevalier. It was five years of happiness and bliss, though one of the worst things for the couple was their inability, at the time, to have children. It had always been their dream together to be able to have a family. The reason was due to the fact that he had testicular cancer, which eventually took his life in 2012 because it became untreatable due to the fact that it was not caught in time.
During her marriage, Keira was not required or even encouraged by her husband to work. He wanted her to be a stay at home wife and eventual mother (though the couple could not reproduce, they had started looking into adoption instead so that they could have a family like they desired); the two were fully supported by Pierre's career and Keira was never required to bring in an income. With his family's background and as well as Keira's, neither family being without money in their lives, they woudl always be safe and secure, which Keira knew and if she did not believe this, she would likely not have felt comfortable enough to be without a job.
Merely months after her husband died, Keira had ended up packing all of her things up and moving to America to start a new life, saying that she had to get away from their home, because she was not able to live in their home without feeling him there and crying day in and day out. It had been their dream to live in the United States and, even though her husband was gone and she was left a widow, Keira had taken it in her best interest to move on with her life in a new place, a place that the two of them had always wanted to live. Out of all places, though, she had felt the calling of moving to Boston, Massachusetts, and that was where she ended up moving to. With the inheritance and insurance she received after Pierre died, she was able to buy a nice little home to make her own, and decorate perfectly.
The move alone had inspired her to take up her art again. At that time, it had taken her a year before she was able to feel it or to even find inspiration that wasn't completely and utterly morbid. The few paintings that she'd done of her husband were hidden in the attic, not wanting to be haunted by the feeling that there was something missing in her life, though she kept them close. She even kept many items of his in the attic as well, not wanting to let him go or to leave him behind in Paris. Her heart had been full of love, especially for Pierre. He'd been the love of her life and the only man that she'd ever wanted to be with, the only man that she ever had been with in any particular way in her life. It was love, completely true love, and it was too hard for her to let go. She kept their home in Paris, mostly because Pierre had already paid it off completely and there were no big payments being made on the property -- that and the mere fact that she simply just did not want to deal with losing everything that was theirs, everything that had been his. They meant too much to Keira, and to this day, she still owns it all.
It took her a year before she was able to find a job in her field (currently a high school Art teacher). She'd attended the University of Paris, which had been where she'd met Pierre in the first place (he was one of her professors in her first year), and received her Bachelors Degree in Art. All of her life, Keira had been interested in art and everything to go with it - painting, sculpting, drawing, everything. She'd even taken various graphics design courses over her time at school (as well as once she moved to America and enrolled into a few various classes to polish up her English), hoping to give her plenty of room to do anything that she wanted to do eventually. The biggest problem for her, once she did move to America, was that her English was not as good as it could have been, despite her trying to learn over the years.
English is, of course, not her primary language. She grew up speaking French and German (her mother is French, her father is Swedish so his primary language was always German) within the household. It wasn't until she was in her early 20s that she decided she wanted to learn to speak English. It was, after all, one of the universal languages spoken within the world. It would come in handy when she would eventually be moving to America, or at least visiting, and being able to speak and read it would come in handy. It took her several years to learn the language, and still, to this day, often has hard times of remembering some words do not exist and can often "invent" her own words by combining two different words to make a new one. It's something that she tries not to do, but it happens and it is something she cannot always help.
Ever since she was a little girl, Keira had always loved with her entire heart. She would give herself to people fully, despite it being innocently for such a long time. Maybe this was because she was so incredibly naive growing up, but Keira always loved anyone and everyone no matter their size, color, anything. It was all about heart with her. When she fell in love with her husband, it was something that she knew she would likely never be able to shake. And, although she eventually was able to move on through the last three years, she still harbors that love for him because she felt that, in that time, it was true love and to an extent, she never thought she could love that fully again.
She's a very social person. Being the way that she is, Keira has always found it possible for her to be herself in any and all situations. She doesn't look to hide and she isn't embarrassed easily. She'll talk to anyone about anything, which was not always a good thing, but it is something that has come in handy. She finds herself molding to fit other people sometimes. She often finds herself wanting and wishing to be friends with everyone that she meets because she is a very friendly person that does not often find a reason not to befriend someone for whatever reason. Keira often finds herself taking her friendships seriously and, at most times, intervening when two of her friends are arguing or not getting along at all. She's always been the mediator or a peacekeeper, and as a child, had shown that want and ability as well.

She's smart, witty and willing to change things to fit other people, and can all around be adjustable with herself and her life, she just likes to make other people happy. Fancies herself entertaining and intellectual, though can be a little sensitive at times. Keeps her mind on track for the most part and finishes what she starts. Generous and affectionate, loves with all of her heart and completely - a no holds barred sort of deal with that - pretty romantic and loves with no questions. Overly energetic at times and has a huge "can do" attitude about everything, and lives with the motto of "I can do anything I put my mind to" and she usually succeeds with it. Because of this, she kind of forgets to sleep or doesn't eat because she's doing what she set her mind out to do, which means that she would paint or draw for days on end with little to no sleep. It's not a first priority when she's got her mind on track, trying to get into doing what she wants or needs to do.

starfire, a.k.a. koriand 'r
origin
Tamaran's Princess Koriand'r was the second of three children. Her older sister, Komand'r was the next in the line of succession, but she was crippled by a childhood illness that robbed her of her natural Tamareanian ability to convert ultraviolet light in to flight energy, so she was deemed not worthy to be queen and the succession fell to Koriand'r. When both sisters were sent to train with the legendary Warlords of Okaara, the bitter Komand'r ran off, allying herself with the Citadel. They used Komand'r's information to successfully invade the planet Tamaran. King Myand'r turned Koriand'r over to the Citadel to ensure peace.
Koriand'r endured six years of torture until she and Komand'r were both released for experimentation by the Psions. The Psions, who are largely sadistic scientists, performed a deadly experiment on both of the sisters to see just how much energy their Tamaranean bodies could absorb before exploding from the overload. During the procedure, Komand'r's forces attacked the Psion ship to rescue her and while the Psions were distracted, Kory broke free with the starbolts, destructive blasts of solar energy, a result of the experimentation. Against her better judgment, she decided to free Komand'r who was still absorbing energy. However, far from grateful, Komand'r struck her sister down with the same-much stronger- power and had her restrained for later execution. Koriand'r escaped and found her way to Earth with the help of the Teen Titans. She chose to remain with the team and took the name Starfire, and quickly formed a romantic relationship with Dick Grayson, then - as Robin - the leader of the team.
Kory is regarded as extremely physically attractive even by the standards of the superhero. She also displays the traits of Tamaran's highly sensuous culture, coupled with a no nonsense warrior attitude. For a time, Kory had a career as a fashion model.
She has been married twice, both times to Tamaranean men: once to the prince Karras to seal a peace treaty, and once to General Phy'zzon for love. Both of her husbands died in battle. She almost married Dick, but their wedding was interrupted by Raven, who had followed in the steps of her father, the demon Trigon. Raven murdered the priest before he pronounced Dick and Kory husband and wife. The relationship was already on unsteady ground, with Kory fearing that Dick was rushing into marriage, and also being concerned by the anti-alien sentiments that sprang up in response to the news of the impending nuptials.
Starfire has served as mentor/teacher to the latest roster of Titans, and also began serving with the Outsiders.
Starfire was stranded on a paradise-like planet with fellow heroes Animal Man and Adam Strange after the battle with Alexander Luthor, Jr. and Superboy-Prime. After several weeks, Adam was able to get his spaceship working, and they departed for Earth. Their ship, however, was attacked by Devilance, who they had encountered on the planet and who had pursued them into space. Lobo appeared just in time to destroy Devilance, and after a some negotiation, agreed to help them out.
When it was believed that Animal Man had perished in battle against Lady Styx, Starfire took it upon herself to bring his jacket back to his surviving family on Earth. Upon reaching Earth, however, she quickly discovered that Animal Man was still alive.
titans together
After the apparent defeat of Lady Styx, Starfire once again returned back to Animal Man's home, where she was recovering from her recent adventures and regaining control of her returned powers. One afternoon, while sunbathing, she and Animal Man's son were attacked by a water demon in Buddy's swimming pool. Meanwhile, her old Titan teammates had also been attacked by assorted demonic entities. This led to Starfire, Nightwing, Troia, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, Flash, and Red Arrow, to reassemble as a team, when they realized that the attacks are the result of a resurrected Trigon and his newly discovered three sons. While investigating, the Titans began to experience unexplained mood-shifts. For Starfire and Nightwing, they were overwhelmed by lust, and ended up having abrupt sex in the middle of their investigation.
Soon after, the team met up in New York's Central Park, where they attempted to recover from these mood-shifts and realize that each shift coincided with one of the seven deadly sins. The team was then approached by the Sons of Trigon. They battled the villainous prodigy, and drove them away. Starfire and Nightwing then discuss their actions while under the influence of Trigon's sons. While Nightwing shows hints at wanting to renew their relationship, Starfire questions his commitment to the relationship and goes so far as to ask Nightwing whether or not he truly still loves her. Nightwing to his own surprise and reluctance admits he does not, leading to them for now leaving their reunion in doubt. Since then, it has been clearly stated that Dick has moved on, though Kory stays true to her Tamaranian culture and still loves him.
Most recently, she has been captured and turned into a Justifier, as seen in Final Crisis: Resist. She has since been freed. Although the loss of control she gathered from the Justifier helmet distressed her severely, causing her to lash out at anyone remotely looking like they are wearing one of the helmets. She was more than happy to destroy a warehouse full of them when Mister Terrific offered her and Cyborg to destroy them. After a stint with a psychiatrist (instead of talking to Donna, which troubled her to no end), and a subsequent denial of joining the Justice League, she is left none the healthier.
blackest night
Most recently during Hero's Day, a time when the heroes of the DC universe join together in remembrance of dead comrades, Starfire and the Titans were attacked by Black Lantern versions of their fallen teammates. During the battle, Starfire and Cyborg were subjected to a psychic attack by the Black Lantern Omen, putting them both in a euphoric state as they experienced their greatest desires. For Starfire, her greatest desire came in the form of her marrying Dick Grayson (indicating that she is still deeply in love with him). Luckily, both she and Cyborg were rescued by Beast Boy and with their attackers eventually defeated by Dove, Starfire and the Titans prepared to face the Black Lanterns head on.

Kory was recently invited to join Kimyo Hoshi's new Justice League by Donna Troy. She joined the team briefly and left a note to Dick explaining why she had left. She then joined the R.E.B.E.L.S. and returned to where Tamaran used to be, to find that it had mysteriously returned.[1]
She had casual relations with Captain Comet, who clearly felt more for her than her for him.

Tamaranean Physiology: Starfire's alien physiology constantly absorbs ultraviolet radiation and converts it to energy.
Energy Absorption: She can also absorb the ultraviolet radiation from other life forms. She once used this application of her power to weaken a group of Kryptonians who otherwise require ultraviolet radiation to maintain their superhuman abilities.
Flight: Which leaves a distinctive energy contrail behind, looking as if it is coming directly from her hair. Starfire has also been stated to have flown light years through space in short amounts of time.
Energy projection: The solar absorption experiments performed on her by the alien Psions granted her the amazing power and ability to channel and project that same energy into destructive blasts called "starbolts". Starfire also has the power and ability to unleash all her stored energy into a pseudo nova blast. It is suggested to be as hot as the sun itself and so only uses this in dire situations.
